Celestolide is a musk which I don't hear mentioned as often as others, yet posesses a fairly unique profile. It's bright with subtle fruity inflections, and is not overpowering and dominating like many of the more powdery or animalic musks. I find it useful when constructing a soft, bright and transparent base note.
