Helional is perhaps the most easy to use and widely applicable aquatic note in perfumery. On its own it smells like fresh water and melon. It's more subtle than the more famous and polarising Calone, another aquatic molecule. Helional can be used in larger amounts for its own watery smell, but also in small amounts to add subtle freshness.
